You see I used to be just like you. I had over a dozen of those unsightly skin tags on my neck, in my armpits, and in one more place I am too embarrassed to mention. Every time I looked in the mirror I felt depressed by the site of my ugly skin tags. I felt too ashamed to wear my swim suit in public, and I actually used to only wear high collar tops to hide the skin tags on my neck. I finally decided that I had to do something about it. I wanted to find a way to get rid of skin tags once and for all. So I started to do a little research. The first thing I read up on was the professional options available. Once was enough, I had to find a better way.
The next thing I tried was the tie it off and let it die technique. Yes this is as unsanitary and gross as it sounds. Basically you get a short piece of fishing line or dental floss. Then you pull your skin tag as far out as you can and tie it off near the skin with a tight knot. Then you wait 2 or 3 days, hoping you tied it tight enough and close enough to the skin for it to die and fall off without leaving half of the tag behind or getting infected. I thought to myself, there must be another way.
Now if you are like me and really want to remove skin tags yourself, don’t give up hope. I finally came across the perfect solution. I really could not believe how well it worked. It only took 3 or 4 days and all of my skin tags were gone. The only thing I didn’t like is the paste which is an integral part of this skin tag removal home remedy can get a little messy. But it is easy and very inexpensive to make.
The product is called “Warts, Moles, and Skin Tags Removal” and it was developed for removing skin tags yourself. You see it uses a similar process to wart removal or mole removal. While anyone can end up a candidate for skin tag treatment, they are most common in people who are overweight or obese. This is most likely due to the fact that they have more skin creases and folds. A lot of people want their skin tags removed permanently and by any means necessary. A lot of people have done research by themselves and have asked dermatologists what causes them and what makes them appear on our body, though, to their dismay considering that skin tags are a natural occurrence in our body and are perfectly natural. They can appear to anyone at any given time but are more prominent as we get older.
Given that, how do you prevent yourself from having skin tags? Well, you can’t. As of the moment, all you can do is hope that you don’t get skin tags and that if you do, it appears in a less obvious part of your body so that it can be concealed by your clothing. How to Remove Skin Tags Yourself
In this post I am going to be discussing how to remove skin tags yourself. There are several different techniques that work for removing skin tags at home. But as you will soon learn not all of them are pleasant.
The first option for skin tag removal involves cutting it off. If you are a bit squeamish this is probably not your best option. It requires boiling or sterilizing a small pair of surgical scissors or nail clippers. Then simply pulling the skin tag as far from the surface of your skin as possible and then snipping it off. This can be rather painful and it may bleed for a while. If you have several skin tags this may be more than you want to endure.
The second option is a little less painful but has it’s own drawbacks. However in my opinion it is probably the second best way to remove skin tags yourself. Find a piece of clean fishing line or dental floss. And also find a close friend to help. You are going to need them. Now to remove the sin tag pull it away from your body as far as possible and then have your friend tie it off as close to your skin as possible and as tight as possible, using the fishing line or dental floss.
The problem now is you have to wait at least 2 or 3 days with these strings tied to your skin and hope they don’t fall off or come off in the shower or while you are sleeping. You also want to keep an eye on them to make sure they don’t get infected. You should probably consult your doctor before trying either of these first two options for removing skin tags yourself.
The third and best option for skin tag removal at home is a technique that I discovered through trial and error. For more details on this great skin tag removal home remedy please check out my next post.

Skin Tag Removal at Home – My Mistakes
If you want to remove skin tags yourself I thought you might like to know some things I tried that definitely did not work. Skin Tags are such a common problem that there seems to be an incredible amount of information available regarding dozens of different ways to get rid of them. The problem is most of these techniques and solutions don’t work and seem to only aggravate the situation.
Ok then here are some of the skin tag removal home remedies that did not work, and that I recommend you stay away from. The first is any type of method that involves you trying to freeze it off yourself. They are usually too small, and you probably do more damage to the surrounding skin that to the tag itself.
The second method that I hated the most to remove skin tags was using small scissors or nail clippers to just cut them off. Sounds simple enough and if you only have one you can probably handle it. But if you have several like I did, this is too crude, savage, and painful to be a viable alternative.
Another technique that I did not have very much success with was trying to tie them off with string and wait a week for them to die and fall off. Again, not as simple as it sounds. And also not as effective. I had too many of them and some of them were really small and some of them were really large. And I wanted to get rid of all of them.
I also read a suggestion that the best way to remove skin tags yourself was to just soak them in tea tree oil for several days. How in the world am I supposed to do that. And I didn’t want to risk getting this oil on my nice clothes.
I have to admit, I was pretty desperate. I just knew there had to be an easy way to perform easy skin tag removal at home. I even tried all kinds of crazy things like duct tape, strange herbal concoctions, fingernail polish and Vitamin E. But nothing seemed to really work.
That’s when I finally stumbled on the best advice to remove skin tags yourself. If you are going to do it yourself, then I think it’s important to get the best advice you can. Read my next posts to find out how I finally learned a great solution to my problem.
